Courageous Woman

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines courage as “ mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.

You may be saying, I am not feeling courageous, and that is because you are using your current temporary situation to define who you are.

Your strength and mental fortitude may be low, and fear may be wracking your entire being, but can I whisper something to you, "you're still standing, courage is growling inside of you like a lion cub." Listen closely, can you hear the baby lion’s growl becoming louder and louder?

Soon, that growl will be roaring deep within you like a mighty lion, gaining strength daily.

Life’s challenges can come at us hard, and difficulties and hardships can weigh us down and sap our energy. Times will come when we succumb to its fear, but we will not stay down for long.

When you are knocked off your feet and lying on your back, look up, let your heart cry out to the Almighty God, the Maker of heaven and earth and the God of heavens armies, to not only raise you but to fight on your behalf. He is the true Lion and His ROAR is mighty!

As He lifts you, He gives you the wings of an eagle to soar above what is holding you down. In the process, God is strengthening you, building your muscles of courage and faith as you slowly rise to your feet, down, but not OUT.

A courageous woman is rising, and that is you.

Temporary setbacks are nothing to you, you have been there before, and you know who fights on your behalf. You use difficulties, hardships, and trials as building blocks and stepping stones, and they are in your arsenal as lessons learned for the next season of your life.

Do you know my sister, how powerful you are, that God has preserved you and is keeping you as the apple of His eye?

Do you know that He sees you and has good plans for you, yes, you?

You are valuable to God, and He has placed you on this earth to do great things for Him. You are courageous, do not look at where you are now, instead focus on where you will be. It is only a matter of time before you will be ROARING and the Lion of the tribe of Judah will be right by your side.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" Joshua 1:9

Walk in courage today.
